Julie Weitz

I recently attended an art opening at Tempus Projects with paintings, drawings, and collage by Julie Weitz. The work was incredibly playful and vibrant! Each piece created an ocular vibratory sensation -- mostly by way of line and color... good shit.

I came away from this show with two things in mind:

1. I need to stop wallowing in self doubt and continue to make work... even if it's completely different from what I've been doing for the last couple of months. In fact, I need to move on. done. Life is not immutable; Art is not immutable.

2. I love Tempus Projects as a structure in and of itself! The space is a renovated garage turned art gallery. I'm inspired.
